In a program where kids played under the supervision of coaches and volunteers, the coach noticed an 8-year-old girl who had stopped jumping rope and stood and stared outside the area where they were being supervised.
She dropped the rope and put her head down. The coach noticed a young man who had been stopped by two police officers and handcuffed to a fence while his car was being searched.
The coach walked over to the little girl, lifted her face, and asked what was wrong.
Her eyes dripping with tears, she said, "Ooooh, I miss my dad!"
