How Could They Hear Me When They Were Screaming Themselves?

A young man sat in his jail cell and thought about how when he was a little boy, he had no male figure to talk to him about anything. All he would see is his mother struggling to make ends meet. School was more brutal then the streets.

He was given assignments, but the books he needed to complete them weren't there. Most of his teachers were worried about finding extra work to help their families.

He remembered how when he began yelling for help, nobody heard him. His life became lonely and dark.

"Now here I am again, screaming, and nobody hears me," thought the young man.

Just then a guard shouted his name and said it was his turn to go to court. At court, the young man watched as men as old as 60 were brought before the judge. When it was his turn, the judge asked him why he was in prison.

The young man replied: "How could they hear me when most of them were screaming themselves?"
