This big church which have twenty -three hundred members right along side of it. One day while they were playing chess this reporter walks up. He was doing a story on the crime that was plaguing that community. He asked one of the men about what he thought could and should be done about the problem? He responded there needs to be some recreational actiivities for the youth, the other gentlemen said if some of that property over there where cars of just parked was available, there would be some place for the youth to play. The reporter responded; why hasn't that pastor allowed the use knowing he has young people among his members? One gentlemen chewing on a piece of tobacco chuckled and said, I guess his fleet is more important then his flock.

If I thought you would.

A young man seemingly upset was talking to his father about a possible lucrative deal that fell through. He told his dad about how his agent was meeting with some movie producers concerning his life's story. His agent was told that the story would be great but that there was one problem. The promoters seem to think that the part of his life should be played by a Caucasian actor. When asked on his behalf why should that be when the story was about his accomplishments. The agent was told Africian- Americians just aren't seen in that light. His father looked at him with this unsettling stare and he said dad what's the problem? He said , dad you don't think I would agree to that do you? His father replied; son if I thought you whould have even contemplated on that, I would have had your mother standing right next to me while you were being given a blood test.

Grandpa chuckled

Seated around this great big oak wood dinner table were four generational members. Discussions were ranging from school to old fishing stories. This great grandmother was sitting at the far northern end of the table, with her eyes fixed on all family members as if at the same time. One of the latter generation kid spoke forcefully to one of his aunts. Grandma threw a wooden salad bowl in a perfect spiral hitting him square in the mouth. Grandpa chuckled and said old girl you must really be getting old because just last year you knocked uncle vick clean out.
