Fields Waiting on the Seed

While driving through the country, this guy notices this man sitting in front of this most beautiful and magnificant field. It had ground as far as you could see an then some and everything was in place for planting -- holes were plowed, water sprinklers were in place, and storage shelters were ready.

The guy stops his car and gets out to ask the man who is patiently sitting out front what is this field and why is it like this. The man says that he is patiently waiting on the seed that's supposed to be brought from some far-away places by a very few workers, to be placed in the ground which is always prepared to receive them and put them in their places for the harvest in it's time.

Driver: People of the world.

Patient man: Holy Spirit

Field: World.

Ground: Jesus Christ/The Word (Bible).

Seed: Men, women, and children.

Few workers: Hopefuly you and I.

Far away places: Prisons; rehab facilities, shattered homes etc.

Harvest in time: Spiritual growth.

To those of you who read my blogs: It is not now, nor will it ever be my intention to force my faith/beliefs on anyone.

The Image In My Mirror

As I walk among today's society and it's many different personalities, some cynical and some morally productive, I wonder, whether it be through apathy or active moral communication, what group that image in my mirror could be responsible for?

Wisdom

What have you given up to get whatever it is you think you need? Is the exchange worth it?
